Behind the Bricks, Part One...

    The house stood hidden in the dense forest, its windows dark and its paint peeling, shrouded in an aura of decay. The teenagers, stranded by their broken-down car, had stumbled upon it in desperation as the sun began to set, their shadows stretching thin and nervous along the overgrown path. At the front gate, an ominous wooden sign read, *No Visitor Knocks.* They exchanged glances, hesitating, but with no other options, they pushed forward, calling out for help.

    A second sign, this one tacked to the weathered front door, bore the same words: *No Visitor Knocks.* But they were desperate, shivering in the sudden chill that settled over the forest. Against his better judgment, one of the boys raised his hand and gave a quick, hesitant knock. Moments later, the door creaked open, revealing a figure half-shadowed in the doorway. The man wore a mask resembling hockey gear, as though hiding severe scars. He didn't speak; instead, a strained, panicked noise escaped him, followed by a series of quick, anxious breaths. And then, he set off an alarm. A blaring, shrieking siren filled the air, startling the teens backward as a tannoy crackled to life, a cold, robotic voice echoing through the trees: * €œRun. €*
